New York – Last week, Carrera hosted a retrospective exhibition and exclusive reception to debut their new eyewear collection at 5 Beekman in New York City.

Known as a brand devoted to energetic individuals who choose to live a discerning life at full speed, Safilo Group along with Carrera, revealed the true spirit of this iconic leading international eyewear brand – its authentic “racing attitude.” Highlighting the company’s DNA in race car driving and sportsmanship, Carrera Ignition Night showcased a narrative on the brand’s history and unveiled its new identity.

Guests included notable celebrities, top industry executives and tastemakers alike. Live musical acts included a DJ set from DJ Kayper and special guest performances from The Dolls: Mia Moretti & Caitlin Moe and Capital Cities.

Olivia Wilde, Louise Roe, Dani Stahl, Nur Khan, Derek Blasberg, Scott Lipps, Alana Bunte, Kyle DeWoody, Danni Snyder, Sam Talbot, Stella Schnabel, and Katie Gallagher were all in attendance.

Apparently Olivia Wilde’s future is so bright she has to wear shades. Following rumors of the actress’ upcoming role in the Tron: Legacy sequel, Wilde was spotted dancing with friends and trying on sunglasses from Carrera’s newest sunglass collection. When asked about her and fiancée Jason Sudeikis’ favorite hobbies – the starlet was quick to reply, “we watch basketball and tend to wear matching shirts.” When a partygoer asked what else she and Jason like to do, the ahem… free-spirited beauty giggled and changed the subject.

Entertainment host and fashionista Louise Roe looked incredibly chic in a daring mixed-print ensemble, pointy-toed white pumps and a cute clutch. While picking up translucent peach Carrera shades, the well-polished and long-tressed brunette beauty exclaimed, “Sunglasses are my favorite accessory! You can wear them anytime, anywhere and look exceptionally put-together.” Ever the charmer, Roe was incredibly personable and lit up the room with her smile. Photographers commented that she was “easy to work with and down-to-earth,” noting her charismatic playfulness and liveliness.
