As the bar and restaurant industry continues to face an uncertain future, I wanted to share some positive news as Bacardi Limited has teamed up with PUNCH to support the bartenders and beverage directors who inspire us on a daily basis by creating the “Tip Your Bartender” social initiative!
Connecting Instagrammers to bartenders across the country via PUNCH’s IG feed (@punch_drink), Tip Your Bartender encourages viewers to “tip” the featured bar team as they create a virtual bar experience every day at 5PM EST. Featuring bartenders such as Ivy Mix and Leanne Favre from Leyenda in Brooklyn and Chris Hannah from Jewel of the South in New Orleans, viewers also learn how to mix up their beloved BACARDÍ Rum cocktails from the safety of their own home – see recipes below!
Tipped directly through Venmo, Bacardi Limited has also committed to match each donation it with an equal gift to their charitable partner, Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation (@rwcfusa) – further supporting the industry we know and love!
Spanning the course of 10 weeks – Tip Your Bartender has already made virtual stops in cities such as Miami, Brooklyn, Chattanooga, Seattle and Chicago, with many more delicious recipes to come!
