New York, NY – Last week at Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, Andy Roddick took a swing at mixing the Official Cocktail of the U.S. Open – the iconic Grey Goose Honey Deuce – and serving it up to a few fans. Broadcasting his guest Bartending appearance on Periscope and Twitter, Roddick has also been sighted walking the grounds of the newly renovated BJK Tennis Center shooting a series of segments from his own phone that give expert perspective on the matches and share the retired tennis star’s newfound experience at the U.S. Open as spectator.
As the Honey Deuce cocktails flowed, Roddick chatted with onlookers about playing at the U.S. Open during his career, and the “magical” culture around the stadium grounds. When asked about his post retirement schedule, he shared that it’s just “hard to be on the road when someone is home missing you,” and that he and Brooklyn now love living in Austin, Texas with their little one – mostly because of the amazing music and food scene.
