Los Angeles – To kick-off the Golden Globes weekend, stars celebrated the inaugural Moët Moment Film Festival winner. Celebrities including Gina Rodriguez (who also served as a festival judge), Olivia Palermo, Greer Grammer, Kendrick Sampson, Louise Roe, and more walked the red carpet at Blind Dragon in West Hollywood, mingled inside, and viewed the top entries of the first ever Moët Moment Film Festival where a winner was revealed.
Other esteemed industry judges of the competition in attendance included David Guillod (Producer), Rachel Sheedy (Brio Entertainment), Ryan Tarpley (CAA) and We Are From L.A. (directors of Pharrell’s 24-hour music video for Happy). Adam Richman received the grand prize for his film, which perfectly encapsulated the festival’s theme of “Capture the Now” about seizing experiences and living with spontaneity. Richman received a $25,000 filmmaking grant and will be attending the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards as Moët’s special guest.
2016 Golden Globe nominee Gina Rodriguez was all smiles at the Moet Moment Film Festival celebration in advance of the Golden Globes remembering her 2015 Golden Globe win and how she celebrated with Moet champagne. The starlet kept mum about having any speech ready for this year’s awards saying she was honored to be nominated and so thankful to be in such an incredible group of talented women in Hollywood.
When leaving the event, of which Gina toasted with Moet & Chandon with her fellow judges and celebrated David Guillod’s birthday, Kendrick Sampson followed her towards her car and met her outside to share a hello and give her his congratulations for the nominee and said he is rooting for her.
The evening was a celebration of the winner of the Moet Moment Film Festival who was greeted by HFPA president Lorenzo Soria and Moet & Chandon VP Renaud Butel and as he gave his speech he wished his mother a very special happy birthday to which Gina Rodriguez started a cheer and raised a glass of Moet & Chandon in their honor.
