Happy Oscar week!
The 89th Annual Academy Awards are on Sunday, February 26th, and whether you’re gaga for La La Land or rooting for Lion, there’s something we can all agree on: alcohol.
RUFFINO’s Golden Lion
2 parts chilled Ruffino Prosecco
1 part fresh clementine juice
Sprig of rosemary
Place Prosecco and fresh clementine juice in coupette.
Add sprig of rosemary and clementine twist.
SVEDKA’s Early Arrival
2 parts SVEDKA Orange Cream Pop
1 part heavy cream (or milk)
Splash orange juice
Pour SVEDKA Orange Cream Pop and cream into a shaker filled with ice. Add a splash of juice. Shake vigorously. Pour into a rocks glass. Top with orange zest.
Kim Crawford’s Heaven or High Water
1 oz Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc
1 oz pisco
1 1/2 oz unfiltered apple juice
3/4 oz Ginger Elixir (See instructions)
1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 dashes angostura bitters
Thinly sliced apple wedges or lemon discs for garnish
2 cups chopped ginger with skin, 1 inch dice
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Add all ingredients except garnish to a chilled Collins glass. Fill halfway with crushed or shaved ice and stir until well incorporated. Top with more ice, to cone over top; garnish with apple or lemon, and serve with a straw.
SVEDKA’s Cocktail By The Sea
1½ parts SVEDKA Orange Cream Pop
1 tsp. orange marmalade
¾ part fresh lemon juice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled Martini glass.
Kim Crawford’s Golden Moonlight
2.5 oz Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc
1 oz SVEDKA Vanilla
1 tsp honey syrup (2:1 honey:water, mixed well)
1 dash Angostura bitters
2 tsp edible gold flake
Combine liquid ingredients and 1 tsp gold leaf with ice in a mixing glass.
Stir with ice and strain over fresh ice (large cube preferable) in a rocks glass.
Sprinkle remaining tsp of gold leaf decoratively over cocktail.
