This past Saturday, May 2nd, the highly competitive horse racing season culminated with the 141st running of the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, KY. This year mark’s GREY GOOSE’s 11th year of participation and support of the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs. Guests at this year’s Kentucky Derby were able to enjoy super-premium GREY GOOSE Vodka cocktails onsite which included the GREY GOOSE Vodka All the King’s Horses (featuring Grey Goose Vodka Le Melon and a unique pairing of fresh grapefruit juice and spicy jalapeno), as well as the crowd favorite the Grey Goose Vodka Oaks Lily.
The nobly-inspired cocktail, All the King’s Horses, is an ode to seven-time Eclipse Award winner and ‘Outstanding Trainer of the Year’, “The King” Todd Pletcher. The GREY GOOSE Vodka Oaks Lily cocktail is the official cocktail of the Kentucky Oaks races and highlights Grey Goose Vodka with cranberry juice, orange liquor and a blackberry and lemon garnish. The Oaks Lily has quickly become the preferred cocktail during Oaks Lily Day on Friday, May 1st.
Guests in attendance at today’s Kentucky Derby were treated to both cocktails throughout Churchill Downs and at all venue bars. In addition, GREY GOOSE hosted the GREY GOOSE Lounge off the red carpet, celebrating individuals who ‘Fly Beyond’ in the sporting and entertainment fields. Both the GREY GOOSE Vodka Oaks Lily and GREY GOOSE Vodka All the Kings Horses cocktails were highlighted and served to arriving guests including Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Josh Groban, Sarah Hyland, Josh Henderson, Brian McKnight, DJ Cassidy, model Lindsay Ellingson, musician JD Shelburne, actor Drew Waters, musician Emily West and more. The cocktails were a hit among these attendees, with GREY GOOSE Brand Master Aaron Rodonis providing both cocktails to guests throughout the afternoon.
