National Margarita Day, arguably one of the most fun holidays of the year, is coming up on Sunday, February 22nd and the award-winning Rosewood Mayakoba set in the picturesque Riviera Maya, Mexico is celebrating with Garden Margaritas. The perfect excuse to enjoy margaritas guilt-free, guests can sip the cocktail either frozen or on the rocks poolside, beachside, or at any of the property’s restaurants and bars, including the new outdoor kitchen and garden, La Ceiba.
The Garden Margarita is made with Clase Azul Tequila in light of the resort’s recent announcement that they will introduce the brand’s new 15-bottle art collection, “MEXICO a traves del tiempo,” to the public for the first time. The exclusive collection is valued at $450,000 with individual bottles for $30,000.

Garden Margarita
1.5 ounces infused lemongrass Clase Azul Tequila
1 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
¾ ounce Cointreau
¾ ounce Agave Nectar
On the rocks:
Pour all ingredients in a shaker and add enough ice to reach ¾ of the shaker. Shake well and serve in a rocks glass with chili powder and/or salt on the rim, and decorate with a slice of lime.
Frozen:
Pour all the ingredients in a blender and add approximately 8 ounces of ice cubes. Blend until frozen. Serve in a margarita glass with chili powder and/or salt on the rim and decorate with a slice of lime.
