Bringing Back James Bond’s Vesper Martini

James Bond’s original cocktail, The Vesper Martini, comes to life once again!  In honor of the 50^th Anniversary of James Bond and the release of SKYFALL, the 23^rd James Bond film set to come out in the US on November 9th, the Vesper Martini is making its way back!

The drink was invented and named by secret agent James Bond in the 1953 novel Casino Royale. The original cocktail, consisting of gin, vodka and Kina Lillet is named after the leading lady in Casino Royale, Vesper Lynd.

To commemorate the 50^th Anniversary of James Bond and Lillet’s newest addition, Lillet Rosé, which is the brand’s first new product to launch in 50 years (they previously had Lillet Blanc and Lillet Rouge), Lillet is introducing a modified vesper: “the Blushing Vesper” which includes its Lillet Rosé variety. 

Blushing Vesper Martini

2 oz Gin, preferably Hendrick’s Gin

1 oz Vodka

1 oz LILLET Rosé

Shake well and strain up into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon or orange twist
