Gigi Levangie Grazer Celebrates the Release of her 5th Novel, The After Wife, at Soho House Sponsored by Caliche Rum

Los Angeles – On Friday night, Gigi Levangie Grazer, New York Times bestselling author of The Starter Wife, celebrated the release of her fifth novel, The After Wife at a private party sponsored by Caliche Rum at Soho House, West Hollywood. The event was hosted by film and television producer, Suzanne Todd, journalist Thea Andrews and Bernadette Leonard.

Guests stayed tipsy with Caliche Rum signature cocktails including the Cali Mojito, Cali Coco and Cali Daiquiri. Caliche Rum has been six generations in the making exclusively from the Serrallés Family Distillery and was launched earlier this year by impresario Rande Gerber and Roberto Serrallés.

Gigi Levangie Grazer has received much acclaim for The Starter Wife, first a miniseries and then a series on the USA Network, and Maneater, now a Lifetime miniseries. Christopher Burch hosted a party recently for Gigi at his Southampton estate, where she was toasted by guests who included Christopher Burch, Rita Schrager, Russell Simmons, Jason Binn, Jane and Richie Notar, Richard Johnson, Kelli Delaney, Brad Comisar, Daniel Benedict, Andrew Saffir, Nacho and Delphine Figueras, Alex Kuczynski and Michael Michele.

The After Wife tells the story of a grieving 40-ish widow and the spirited friends who love her as she attempts to regain control of her life in the sometimes-surreal Los Angeles landscape.

Psychic to the stars Michelle Whitedove was introduced and gave psychic readings to guests. Whitedove is a television personality featured on the European show Sixth Sense International. As an expert in her field, Lifetime television showcased her supernatural abilities on their program America’s Psychic Challenge where she was awarded the title of “America’s #1 Psychic.”

Caliche Rum Signature Cocktails:

Cali Mojito

2 oz Caliche Rum

1 oz Fresh Lime Juice

¼ oz Agave Nectar

8 Mint Leaves

Crushed ice on top

Garnish: Mint Sprig

In a mixing glass, lightly muddle the mint. Add the remaining ingredients fill with ice and shake until well chilled, strain into an ice filled highball glass, top with the crushed ice, and garnish.

Cali Coco

2 oz Caliche Rum

1 oz Don Q Coco Rum

1 oz Coconut Water (Vita Coco and Zico work best)

¼ oz Agave Nectar

Garnish: Dry Coconut Flakes

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into an ice filled rocks glass. Add garnish.

2 oz Caliche Rum

1 oz Fresh Limes

¼ oz Agave Nectar

1 Fresh Strawberry

Garnish: Strawberry

In a mixing glass, lightly muddle the strawberry. Add the remaining ingredients, fill with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into an ice filled rocks glass and garnish.
