WHITNEY EVE FALL 2012 SHOW
New York – Whitney Port showed her Whitney Eve Fall/Winter 2012 collection yesterday morning to a jam-packed crowd in the Studio at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Attendees included Coco Rocha, Nigel Barker, Tyson Beckford, Jessica Hart, Eric West, Allie Gonino, Angela Simmons, Neon Hitch, Adrienne Baillon, and Julissa Bermudez.
For her Fall 2012 collection, Whitney Eve designer Whitney Port took inspiration from an antique kaleidoscope she found on her Grandmother’s coffee table. Graphic shapes, jewel tones, shattered prints, and luxe fabrics collide to create a collection for the girl on the go.
Classic elements are fractured to reform in new, yet familiar ways. Unique prints feature on peplum blouses, tapered and wide leg pants, soft tailoring, and casual suiting. Cocktail dresses showcase geometric beading, wrap dresses are realized in textured, patterned velvet, and heavily embellished cocktail shorts give eveningwear a youthful kick. Anchoring the collection are Port’s signature textured seamless layering pieces.
The Whitney Eve show team included styling by Lara Backmender, Make-up by Kristi Matamoros for Make Up Forever, Hair by Martin-Christopher Harper for EVA, Nails by Sunshine Outing for Zoya and shoes by Nine West.
