New York – After a long week of surviving Sandy and recovering from cabin fever, New Yorkers headed to the new SCHUTZ store on Madison Avenue. The luxury women’s footwear brand, founded in Brazil in 1995, hosted an evening of shopping, benefiting victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The sleek Madison Avenue location hosted top fashion bloggers, Aimee Song of Song of Style (www.songofstyle.blogspot.com), Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes (www.seaofshoes.com) and Shea Marie of Cheyenne Meets Chanel (www.cheyennemeetschanel.com) who each created their own capsule collection curated specifically for the event.
From winter booties to lace up pumps and handbags to accessories, customers browsed the latest SCHUTZ collections while getting style advice from the bloggers themselves. All for a great cause, 10% of the proceeds from the capsule collection’s sales went towards each blogger’s charity of choice which helped boost sales. With every purchase, customers received gift bags with goodies, including gift cards from Soho’s hottest new restaurant RSVP and Bio Supplement’s hair care line as well as a unisex Molton Brown perfume.
Throughout the evening guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres along with delicious tea cocktails by The Teaologist and bite sized cupcakes by Baked by Melissa. Shoppers sipped and socialized to tunes on the popular playlist app Songza which SCHUTZ curated themselves for the shoe shopping soiree! Polaroid Photo’s were snapped of partygoers, a true fashion keepsake to remember a wonderful evening!
Aimee, Jane and Shea had a blast meeting their fans, old and new, as well as penning their signatures on purchased shoes and shoe boxes!
