The groundhog declared six more weeks of Winter on Tuesday, meaning the snowstorms of this winter are far from over. If you’re sick of making snow angels & snowman, Chef Jose Andres has an alternative for you. The James Beard award-winning chef and founder of World Central Kitchen went outdoors for his latest culinary creation – snow cocktails!

The world-renowned chef took to Instagram on Thursday to demonstrate how to craft chillingly-delicious cocktails using fresh snow. Always the entertainer, Chef Jose scoops snow into a rocks glass, layering with raspberry powder for a beautifully pink color and sweet, yet tart taste. As he sprinkles, he says, “You can make this all day long, and your family and friends will love you forever!” He follows that up with even more snow, premium Grey Goose vodka–emphasizing that “it’s very important to pour slowly, slowly, slowly!”– a splash of tonic, and one more scoop of snow. “This is a cocktail without shaking – it’s a cocktail James Bond would order!

If you don’t have fresh snow to recreate Jose’s recipe (or would rather stay bundled up inside), try the Grey Goose Icicle, which uses shaved or crushed ice, vodka, peppermint schnapps, and crème de cacao for an ice-cold seasonal serve that doesn’t require you trekking into the outdoors.

Cheers!
