From the second that guests walk into 1 Hotel South Beach, they are greeted with next-level hotel amenities — almost all of which are connected to nature and were created with sustainability in mind.
1 Hotel South Beach frequently partners with Debris Free Oceans, an organization dedicated to cleaning and protecting the ocean. Most notably, they recently collaborated on an initiative for World Ocean’s Day in June to clean up the streets of South Beach.
Now they are leveraging this partnership to focus on the newest F&B trend – sustainable COCKTAILS! Newly added to the menu is the “Delia“ ($29) – an Appleton signature blend mixed with chareau aloe vera liqueur, coconut water, lime, and hibiscus – where $1 of each cocktail sold is donated to Debris Free Oceans. This idea was spearheaded by Steven Minor, the Beverage Director, who was inspired by sustainable trends and utilizing local ingredients.
The “Delia” cocktail is named after the Delia Whale, the whale statue in the hotel lobby which is made up of plastic pollution found in the oceans and helps raise awareness towards protecting our seas. The cocktail is available at WATR, the rooftop restaurant at 1 Hotel South Beach. It is also served with a reusable 1 Hotel straw to reduce waste.
