“It’s not easy bein’ green…” unless you’re surrounded by lush greenery at The McKittrick Hotel’s Gallow Green Rooftop or McCarren Hotel & Pool’s Rooftop and Oleanders Restaurant, where they will be shakin’ up more than shamrocks this St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

_____

McCarren Hotel & Pool

At McCarren Hotel & Pool in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Executive Chef Christopher Reid (a Fitzpatrick Hotel alum) will be cooking up traditional Irish favorites at Oleanders – for St. Patrick’s Day dinner and weekend brunch:

On Friday 3/17, feast on holiday dinner specials like Corned Beef and Cabbage Spring Rolls with Irish dipping sauce, classic Fish & Chips and Irish Whiskey Lamb Stew topped with a flaky crust.

To cure that day-after hangover, on Saturday 3/18 brunch specials like Irish Eggs Benedict, poached eggs served over Irish smoked salmon, and the St. Patty’s Corned Beef Hash Wrap made with corned beef, hash browns and scrambled eggs in a whole wheat wrap, will provide relief.

Specialty cocktails include traditional Grasshopper and Irish Coffee, as well as the Misty Mint made with crème de menthe & white rum, and Emerald Isle made with gin, crème de menthe & bitters. In addition, new beer drafts have just been added at the bar, featuring local Montauk Wave Crasher IPA and Braven Bushwick Pilsner on tap, alongside Guinness by the can.

Full regular dinner and brunch menus will also be offered.

After dinner, don’t miss the hotel’s scene-y rooftop for Deep Vibes presented by Amir Telem, from 12am-2am with no-cover.

The restaurant space’s giant Tiffany-style chandeliers, classic bentwood chairs and soaring accent wall – covered in the evergreen Oleander shrubs that are its namesake – complement the copper clad bar and checkerboard floor for a perfect St. Patty’s Day setting. The rooftop offers panoramic views of McCarren Park and the Manhattan skyline and no-cover parties year-round.

Gallow Green at The McKittrick Hotel

At The McKittrick Hotel in West Chelsea (home of the immersive theater spectacular Sleep No More), New York City’s most transportive rooftop getaway Gallow Green is the place to be for a ski-lodge-meets-beer-garden vibe this unseasonably warm St. Patrick’s Day:

On Friday 3/17 evening, head to The Lodge at Gallow Green rooftop to enjoy Mini Pork Pies with beet caviar and Dijon mustard, the signature Lodge Burger with grass-fed Angus beef, bacon and cheese, and mouth-watering Braised Beef.

Pair the sumptuous food with Free Will C.O.B. Ale, Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout or go for a signature Sleep No More hot mulled wine cocktail.

In addition, DJ Lee Burridge will be spinning house music into the wee hours at The Heath at The McKittrick on Friday night.

For brunch on Saturday 3/18, come back to life with Gallow Green Brunch Pizza topped with bacon, eggs and cheese, or a traditional Full English Breakfast with all the fixin’s. Best enjoyed with the house special Gallow Green Bloody Mary, made with green tomato juice and SW spices.

Full regular dinner and brunch menus will also be offered.

__________

For the winter months, Gallow Green’s lush, secret garden space is transformed into The Lodge at Gallow Green, a hideaway that invites guests to enter a cozy mountainside ski cabin hidden amidst a forest of real pine trees. In addition to the main cabin, The Lodge at Gallow Green features private seating in an adjoining train car bedroom, mysterious train tracks, an outdoor fire pit, beer garden seating and canoe for two inside a tent for guests to explore. The popular bar can usually be found packed with revelers.
