New York, NY – On Thursday, October 13th, The Resolution Project hosted its 7th Annual Resolve Gala at the Harvard Club of New York City, celebrating the many ways in which Resolution’s global network of Fellows, supporters, and volunteers are working toward a sustainable future.
Each year, the Resolve Gala honors the accomplishments of Resolution Fellows working across sustainable development, education, energy and environment, equality, health, and humanitarian relief sectors. Resolution Fellows work in over 60 countries and across the United States, and help hundreds of thousands of people through their work. Resolve 2016 showcased seven installations that creatively explore areas of impact around the world being addressed by these inspiring young leaders.
“Resolve 2016 brought together our global community in celebration of Resolution Fellows; these leaders of tomorrow are starting today, and with the help of our supporters and volunteers, they are changing the world and paving the way forward on the pathway to action,” said Resolution Board Chair and Co-Founder Oliver B. Libby.
“We had our largest group of Fellows ever assembled at Resolve to share their vision of hope, impact, and leadership,” said Resolution President and Co-Founder George M. Tsiatis, “and it was inspiring to see such a generous and powerful community rallying around them to support them. Resolution is poised to cross 1 million beneficiaries in the months ahead, and it is because of the synergy we witnessed in the room at Resolve that 300 socially responsible young leaders with the support of hundreds of volunteers have combined to create such a powerful engine of positive impact. We are deeply grateful for our Fellows’ leadership, and for the leadership of all of the supporters, attendees, and sponsors!”
Grammy Award winning group All-4-One took the stage for the ultimate ‘Throwback Thursday’ performance, kicking off their five-song set with I Can Love You Like That, followed by a cover of September, and ending with their hit song I Swear. “The Resolution Project is an incredibly inspiring organization supporting young entrepreneurs to do good around the world,” said the group. “We could not be more thrilled or honored to be included in this year’s Resolve Gala!”
The evening brought together notable celebrities, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and business leaders to raise proceeds that benefit and empower a global community of young leaders through cooperative social entrepreneurship.
DJ Ian Mellencamp provided music throughout the evening and guests in attendance supporting the event included Hilaria Balwin, Award-winning hit musical Hamilton’s Sydney Harcourt, Pretty Little Liars actress Dre Davis, model Louisa Warwick, Gabriela Isler and Host Committee members Atti Worku (Miss Ethiopia and Founder, Seeds of Africa) and model Kathrin Werderitsch.
