New York – On Thursday night, Olivia Palermo, Chanel Iman, Wyclef Jean, Andrew Zimmern, Harley Viera Newton, Timo Weiland, Alexandra Richards, Nigel Barker, were all on hand to celebrate the debut of Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel.
Olivia Palermo arrived to the grand debut of Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel, sans husband. Olivia embodied business chic and enjoyed a girls’ night out in a white pantsuit from her own Chelsea28 capsule collection for Nordstrom, as well as a light pink trench coat and portfolio-style clutch. Olivia kept her look natural with minimal eyeliner, a swipe of lipstick light blush and a messy bun. Throughout the night she mixed and mingled with Nigel Barker, Alexandra Richards, Wyclef Jean and designer Timo Weiland, who she “hadn’t seen in a very long time.” During a photo session, Olivia and Chanel Iman traded modeling tips, with both showing how they put their best foot forward to set up a great angle for the photographer. The posh pair bonded over their white hot wardrobe color choices and lounged while taking in the view on the 37th floor.
Chanel Iman looked radiant at the grand debut in Misha Nonoo. The model was dishing on her favorite designers – Tom Ford, favorite places to travel – the French Riviera and Italy, and her plan to check out her “role model” Beyonce’s Formation World Tour this summer. Later, Chanel was seen dancing from the front row of Wyclef Jean’s live performance while Snapchatting with Heidy de la Rosa.
Wyclef Jean shut down the house headlining the grand debut of Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel. From the start, Wyclef yelled, “They only told me to perform three songs. We’re going to shut this place down tonight!” At the end of his set, Wyclef rushed into the crowd, then did flips on stage and performed hit single “Kiss The Sky” with The Knocks. Earlier in the night, Wyclef shared that he’d be open to a Fugees reunion since to mark the 20th anniversary of “The Score” this year.
