Los Angeles – Last week, we headed over to award-winning watering hole on Highland, NEXT DOOR LOUNGE, to get our drink on and experience the new food menu by chef & Food Network Star, Nikki Martin. Amazing.
With their renowned beverage program head up by Zac Henry and new food menu, you won’t be disappointed. Voted by LA WEEKLY as the “Best Speakeasy in LA,” everything backs it up, from the cocktails, to the menu, to the vibe and atmosphere.
To start, their mixology is the main attraction over at NDL. The cocktail menu is filled with 1920’s-inspired libations and barrel-aged spirits. With newly added GIN & RUM, their barrel-aged inventory is brought to 5 spirits: scotch, bourbon, rye, gin, & rum. Drink just enough and you’ll be whisked back to the 20’s.
The ambiance helps the cause, with rich leather couches, high black chairs, and antiqued cocktail tables.
Now with Food Network Star, Nikki Martin in the mix, their grub game is on another level. Nikki has incorporated various spirits and beer into some of the new items on the menu. Also, a must-try: THE BURGER, made with 100% grade fed beef, applewood smoked bacon, bulliet bourbon, onion confit, roast garlic aioli, & buttered brioche.
