South Beach – This year, SLS Hotel South Beach and Hyde Beach were the epicenter of all things dance during Miami Music Week 2014, Wednesday, March 26 to Sunday, March 30. As part of the property’s EDM-meets-luxury programming, SLS Hotel South Beach was transformed into The Avicii Hotel, hosted a one-of-a-kind Ushuaïa popup, the Playa den Bossa super-club in Ibiza, and offered exclusive nightlife programming by APA’s electronic music department at Hyde Beach. The world’s top DJs including Alesso, NERVO, Luciano, Cazzette, Rebecca & Fiona and Gareth Emery transformed the property into the ultimate electronic dance paradise, keeping the crowd moving day and night.
On Wednesday, March 26, Luciano & Friends kicked off the week. The next day, Thursday, March 27, saw an all-star line-up including Rebecca & Fiona, Cazzette, Arty and Alesso, who closed the day with an incredible set, leading the audience in dancing and champagne spraying. Come Friday, March 28, Ushuaia’s iconic resident party, ANTS, invaded South Beach with larger-than-life decorations, insane pyrotechnics and the freshest house sounds by Joris Voorn and Nic Faniculli. Dynamic DJ duo NERVO, with a special appearance by DJ Carnage, kept the weekend party going on Saturday, March 29, with their upbeat, fierce electro beats. Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and special guest Chuckie closed out the lineup for EDM lovers on Sunday, March 30, capping off an unforgettable Miami Music Week.
Throughout the week, celebrities joined partygoers to revel in the exclusive scene at The Avicii Hotel at SLS Hotel South Beach. Socialite Paris Hilton rocked leopard kitty ears and danced onstage with Alesso, while superstar DJ Deadmau5 enjoyed the music as he hung out with friends. On Friday, Wyclef Jean was spotted checking out Ushuaïa’s ANTS party. NERVO also enjoyed some downtime on property as they dined with family and friends before their set on Saturday.
