New York – On Wednesday, September 26, Ristorante Asellina kicked-off their new monthly dinner series Wine Wednesday’s, created specifically for wine aficionados and culinary mavens alike. The dinner will bring the traditions of Roman cuisine to life with a menu inspired by the flavors and textures of rustic Italian cooking, complemented with Italy’s finest wines.
Each month, the Wine Wednesday’s dinner experience will showcase exclusive wines from a select Italian wine purveyor that will be paired with a 4-course meal, created by Asellina’s Executive Chef and Italy native, Marco Porceddu. For the dinner launch, Allegrini Wines, one of Italy’s finest wine producers, will be providing their favorite blends for the dinner party and will be pouring tasty wines including Soave, Palazzo della Torre, Amarone and Recioto.
Asellina’s Executive Chef, Marco Porceddu will complement the wines with a decedent dinner pairing menu featuring:
– Swordfish Carpaccio with water cress, Tomino cheese and black truffle
– Roasted Ceci Garganelli with artichokes, fiore Sardo and herbs
– Braised Wild Boar with cipollini and caramelized autumn roots
– Tuscan Chocolate Cake
Wine Wednesday’s dining experience premieres Wednesday, September 26th at 7:30 for the price of $95.
