New York – On Monday night, OK! Magazine celebrated New York Fashion Week with their annual ‘NYFW Celebration’ event at Cielo. The event toasted to all that embodies NY Fashion Week each year, and once again, did not disappoint. Due to an unforeseen family emergency, DJ Pauly D was unable to DJ the event as planned, but best-friend Vinny Guadagnino attended to embrace the crowd and apologize on his behalf.
The celeb-studded gathering at downtown’s trendy Cielo was packed wall to wall with stars including Real Housewives cast members from both coasts. Ramona Singer and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from RHONY were seen chatting with friends on the patio. They were later joined by Sonja Morgan whose infectious energy had them all up and dancing by night’s end. Melissa Gorga of RHONJ was out on the town celebrating with girlfriends and arrived sans husband, Joe. RHOC’s Gretchen Rossi made a brief appearance in between a fashion presentation for her Gretchen Christine Collection and boyfriend, Slade Smiley joined the party shortly after. With so many ‘Housewives’ inside the velvet ropes, guests were inclined to watch what happens, but no visible drama appeared to ensue.
As Vinny Guadagnino tried to cozy up with his newly confirmed girlfriend, Guy Code’s Melanie Iglesias, a ‘super fan’ insisted on sitting next to the reality star. With Jersey Shore imitating life, it was seemingly Vinnie’s turn to have a stalker all his own. The persistent fan was asked to leave but managed to sneak back into the club and over to the couple’s table once more before finally being escorted out. Vinny laughed it off and enjoyed the rest of the night with Melanie. And in an unrelated incident, Pauly D’s stalker was also outside of the nightclub, but was denied access.
Bravo newbies like Kerri Lisa and Liz Margulies of ‘Gallery Girls’ sipped Star Vodka cocktails and mingled with other Manhattan-based guests. Julia Allison of ‘Miss Advised’ was also spotted picking up gifts from Fashion Forms.
A ‘Rock Your Hair’ by Michael O’ Rourke hair station provided gift bags and hairstyling tips and tricks to Jana Kramer and other VIPs. Christian Serratos of Twilight fame was spotted hanging out with DJ YO-c, while Angela Simmons and India de Beaufort chatted and snapped photos on the patio.
The event brought celebrities, taste makers and style icons together in the perfect way to toast Fashion Week in the city that never sleeps.
