
Miami – This past Monday was the launch of the Venus Williams EleVen Capsule Collection in Miami Beach. Venus Williams was on-hand for the GREY GOOSE hosted event and she gave tennis tips and showcased her new collection EleVen by Venus Williams to guests in attendance.
Williams, the winner of seven Grand Slam singles titles “held court,” so to speak, on the private ocean-side tennis courts of the ultra-chic Bath Club in Miami Beach during a classic tennis garden party. The launch party drew sister, Serena Williams, and guests Gabrielle Union, Cristina Barberie, Ingrid Hoffmann, Hernan Arriaga and Fabio Lopes, Shane Talbott, Richie and Jane Notar, Ugo Capasso, Criselda Breene, Sarah Harrelson, Davide Tomassoni, Lara Shriftman and Lucas Bacardi Shriftman, and Erika, Izzy and Jonah Koopman all out to celebrate.
Guests had the opportunity to hit balls with the tennis champ on the court, which was chicly appointed with white Wilson tennis racquets, ball hoppers and tennis balls. EleVen-branded accoutrements courtesy of design-duo Anders Ruff continued the theme on everything from straws to toothpick flags, with water bottles playfully bearing some of the secret messages that will be handwritten in every piece of the EleVen collection. The name EleVen itself carries a message to reject imposed limits, and was chosen by Venus because an eleven is “better than a ten.”
All of the menu items were carefully chosen by Venus, who enjoys a plant-based vegan diet. Talbott Teas provided refreshing Blissful Blueberry™ tea, and Jamba Juice, known for their better-for-you beverages, served up Berry UpBEET™ smoothies. Guests looking for stronger fare enjoyed GREY GOOSE vodka Honey Deuce cocktails. Vegan finger foods from Miami’s Le Basque were served to guests and piles of Good Greens™ bars adorned with custom wrappers printed with EleVen design patterns.
Servers and staff were outfitted in pieces from the collection, which is made in the U.S.A, and is the only sportswear line designed by an athlete, while guests got to take home with EleVen t-shirts.
Next up will be a U.S. Open inspired line and collections commemorating The French Open and Wimbledon, leading the way for the launch of a full lifestyle collection in September. We can’t wait!
