New York City – Fashion designer Mara Hoffman has announced the launch of her new website, marahoffman.com, which includes an exciting e-commerce section that will feature the current collection along with an special section of exclusive styles only available for purchase on Hoffman’s site (www.marahoffman.com/exclusives/).
Within the next month, she will be adding the full ready to wear line, starting with spring 2012. Throughout the year, Hoffman will announce unique collaborations with different artists and designers along with the many other exclusives. The “about” section of the site features a complete visual history of Mara Hoffman’s design evolution and brand expansion over the past ten years. Definitely something to check out!
For the site launch, Hoffman collaborated with Photographer Olivia Malone to create unique images featuring the Resort 2012 Swim collection. As Hoffman explains, “We were going for something rich with ceremony and sexy yin witchery, pulling references from Cuban and Caribbean environments.”The shoot features model Nykhor (Muse), with headdresses/hair by Martin Christopher Harper, make-up by Kristi Matamoros (both represented by Kate Ryan agency- www.kateryaninc.com), jewelry by All for the Mountain (allforthemountain.com), styling by Mara Hoffman and set design by Andrea Huelse (www.andreahuelse.com).
*In other exciting news, Mara Hoffman will return to the runway this season in NYC, showing her Fall/Winter ready-to-wear collection on Saturday, February 11th at 2 pm in the Stage venue at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Lincoln Center. Cheers!
