Los Angeles – Actor/Filmmaker Adrian Grenier and Film Producer Peter Glatzer are bringing their digital multi-media platform SHFT.com to life for a limited time this fall in a pop-up gallery and shop in Los Angeles, located at 161 S. La Brea Ave. from Friday, Oct. 21 – Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011. The SHFT Pop-Up will embody the site’s vision of conveying an inspiring sustainable approach to the way we live through art, video, design, and culture.
The art and design pieces that are being showcased will examine our relationship to the earth and celebrate the energy source of the sun. The collection will explore the idea that ‘environmentalism’ as a movement, as a separate category, has become anachronistic. Sustainable ideas are being folded into the fabric of our lives, becoming a part of our consciousness that touches everything we do.
“Art is one of the most powerful tools we have to underscore our relationship with nature,” says Grenier. “This collection reflects the cultural shift we see taking place, and celebrates the artists and designers who have incorporated these ideas into their work with unique and practical narratives,” continues Glatzer.
SHFT.com is pleased to partner with Sungevity, a leading national residential solar company that is providing homeowners with innovative and accessible solar rooftop solutions, on this year’s event.
Kanon Vodka kept the guests tipsy all night as they admired the SHFT Pop Up Gallery.
