Birmingham is one of the best nights out that can be had in the United Kingdom. There are a variety of different drinking options available to visitors, which range from cocktail bars to quirky pubs. There is something for everyone in the city, and best of all, you can even hit a few of the bars that are loved in the city as they are within walking distance.
There are so many options that visitors may feel overwhelmed with the selection available, but next time you’re in the second city, you should definitely go to these bars.
The first port of call can be found on Temple Street. There is so much to enjoy in this bar, as there is more of a feeling of a fairground than that of a bar. There is a warm atmosphere in Flight Club, and it is a brilliant place to take in everything that there is to love in the city.
The pub is renowned for its darts history, and there are 13 boards available to play on. However, it isn’t just about the darts as there is a breathtaking menu of unique cocktails, and also reasonably priced food.
If you are looking for the feeling that you can get while drinking a cocktail at an exotic resort abroad, then Island Bar is the place for you. There is a paradise theme running through this bar, with hula girls and palm trees adding to the atmosphere. The busiest time to come here is on Saturday night, where there are also cocktail master-classes for visitors to get involved with.
BE AT ONE
When you get the train into New Street Station, Be At One will immediately be the best place to refuel before exploring the city. It’s the best place to go for cocktails in the city, with some of the most skilled bartenders in the city. There is a cool atmosphere in the pub, with an excellent two-for-one happy hour to boot. This is one of two locations in the city, with the other Be At One located in Brindley Place.
Digbeth has enjoyed a renaissance over recent years, and it is now one of the best places in the city to enjoy a few drinks in a unique atmosphere. Night Owl is one of the best, and it is a must should you enjoy music from the 60s, 70s or 80s. It will feel as though you have stepped back in time with the bar furnished with disco balls and old records.
Gin is on the range at present, and the Gin Vault is the only place that lovers of that drink should be heading. There are over 200 different types of gin to enjoy here, with knowledgable bar staff able to educate visitors on the best mixers to have with their chosen gin. There is also live music here every weekend and is located on the canal, which makes it a brilliant option in the summertime.
