The weather is getting crisper and you are getting ready to start sipping festive fall cocktails!
The Auchentoshan Au-Keet-A cocktail is an easy-to-make libation which combines the smooth, nutty flavor of Auchentoshan American Oak with all your favorite fall flavors including pear cider, walnut liqueur and amaretto. Additionally the Auchentoshan Margo Flips is a delicious indulgence, made with Auchentoshan Three Wood, chocolate stout and spicy and sweet brown sugar cayenne syrup.
1 1/2 part Auchentoshan® American Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky
1/2 part Amaretto
1/4 part Amaro
1/4 part Black Walnut Liqueur
3/4 part Fresh Lemon Juice Dry Pear Cider
Dried Apricot (for garnish) Method: Add Auchentoshan American Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky into a cocktail shaker. Combine with Amaretto, Amaro, black walnut liqueur and fresh lemon juice. Add ice to shaker and shake. Double strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice cube. Top with dry pear cider and garnish with a dried apricot.
Auchentoshan® Margo Flips
2 parts Auchentoshan® Three Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky
1 part Chocolate Stout
1 Whole Egg
4 dashes Peychauds Bitters
1/2 part Brown Sugar Cayenne Syrup*
Grated nutmeg (for garnish)
*Combine 2 cups light brown sugar, 1 cup water and 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to boil. Let cool and keep in refrigerator.
Add Auchentoshan® Three Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Chocolate Stout, whole egg, Peychauds Bitters, and brown sugar cayenne syrup into a cocktail shaker. Shake until egg is broken down and drink is frothy. Strain into footed rock glass with fresh ice. Garnish with nutmeg.
