Summer officially kicks off June 20th so when assembling cocktails, fire up your grill because guess what, you can grill a cocktail (or at least pretend to)!
From a grilled pineapple cocktail, to a smoky Paloma and even a liquid smoke cocktail, the below recipes demonstrate how to win summer and throw the best BBQ ever!
Grilled pineapple is the ultimate summer flavor as it blends sweet, char and caramelization all in one. For those hesitant about manning the grill, consider incorporating ingredients that add a smoky flavor without ever needing to throw ingredients over flames.
Sauza® Scorched Wahini
· 2 parts Sauza® Signature Blue Silver Tequila
· 1 part simple syrup
· 2 parts pineapple juice
· 1 grilled pineapple wedge
· 1 pineapple leaf
Reserve pineapple wedges and add remaining ingredients to an ice filled shaker. Shake and strain over ice into a Mason jar or margarita glass. Garnish with a grilled pineapple wedge and leaf.
· 901® Tequila
· 1 part grapefruit juice
· ½ part agave syrup
· 2 chipotle peppers
· IPA Style Ale
Muddle one chipotle pepper with agave syrup and grapefruit juice in mixing glass. Add 901® Tequila and shake vigorously over ice. Strain into collins glass filled with ice. Top off with IPA Ale. Garnish with skewered chipotle pepper.
· 2 parts 901® Tequila
· 1 part sweet vermouth
· 2 drops Angostura® bitters
· 2 drops liquid smoke
Combine ingredients and stir over ice. Strain over ice in rocks glass. Garnish with orange peel.
