New York – Thursday night in New York City, The Cinema Society and St-Germain hosted a special screening for the new Hank Williams biopic, I Saw the Light. The evening was supported by notables including Tom Hiddleston, Wrenn Schmidt, Alan Cumming, Matthew Broderick, John Corbett, Peter Facinelli, John Benjamin Hickey, Kathleen Turner, Marc Abraham (Director), Frederic Fekkai & Shirin von Wulffen, Sarah Megan Thomas (Equity), Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland), Kerry Degman, Carson Kressley, Eric “Elew” Lewis, Claudia Mason, Jazmin Grimaldi, Amy Sacco, Sophie Sumner, Timo Weiland, Yigal Azrouel, David YurmanMichael Barker & Tom Bernard (Sony Pictures Co-Presidents).
Hiddleston and one of his onscreen flames brought their apparent “off screen” chemistry to the Jimmy atop the James Hotel, where the co-stars held casual court in the back corner of the lounge. On the other side of the bar, a befuddled John Corbett expressed to the other partygoers that he felt My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 was “pretty excellent,” in spite of its unambiguously negative opening weekend reviews. Overall, guests seem unaffected by New York’s foggy weather as they mingled over St-Germain-infused “Nashville Nectar” cocktails late into the evening.
