New York – This weekend, Aby Rosen celebrated his newest property opening, The Blond, at 11 Howard in New York City. The Blond, an intimate lounge designed by Anda Andrei with SPACE Copenhagen, is lined with plush velvet furniture and adorned with a statement artwork by Dan Attoe. His piece, Complicated Animals, 2008, is a mixed media sculpture made of neon lights, animation, wires and transformers that is mounted to the ceiling above the grand staircase that leads into The Blond. Inside The Blond, a family of bonze-faced statue heads by sculptor Charming Baker line the windowsills.
The launch weekend included a series of private parties for friends and family of The Blond hosted by Aby Rosen and his son, Charlie Rosen, followed by a concluding bash for neighborhood guests and friends of Creative Directors, Angelo Bianchi and Julio Montero. Entertainment included DJ sets by Erik Tonneson and Madison LST.

11 Howard is situated in SoHo, at the crossroads of Bowery, Chinatown, and Little Italy, an area ripe for exploring by foot, and is one of Manhattan’s most eclectic mixes of culture, food and fashion. 11 Howard looks forward to accommodating with conscious hospitality, approaching each aspect of the hotel with awareness, purpose, and thoughtful consideration.
