If you’re looking to celebrate the Day of the Dead with spirits (the cocktail kind), Sauza Tequila created some festive drink recipes and party tips to help you pull off the perfect Dia de los Muertos bash.

Get your soiree started with a toast to the living and the dead. Margaritas inspired by the holiday, like the Moonlit Margarita, Marigold Margarita, Sugar Skull Margarita and Catrina’s Classic Margarita, will have those on the other side wishing they could come back for a sip.

In addition to the to-die-for drink recipes, Sauza suggests the tips below to give your celebration life –

· Incorporate Marigolds: Said to guide the spirits, marigolds can be used decorate your party space or to create a fun and festive floral crown

· Mexican Meals: Pay homage to the holiday’s country of origin by serving up traditional favorites like Pan De Muerto or “Bread of the Dead”

1 ½ parts Sauza® Signature Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
4 parts sparkling blackberry soda
¼ cup fresh blackberries
¾ part fresh lime juice
¼ part simple syrup
Ice
Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Blackberries for garnish (optional)

Place 2-3 whole blackberries in a glass. In a blender, puree the rest of the fresh blackberries with lime juice and simple syrup. Strain into a cocktail shaker, add the tequila and ice and shake to chill. Fill ⅓ of the glass with the blackberry-lime-tequila mixture and top with chilled blackberry soda. Garnish the glass with fresh mint and blackberries (optional). Enjoy!

· 1 part Sauza® Gold Tequila
· ½ parts DeKuyper® Triple Sec Liqueur
· 2 parts orange juice
· 2 parts lime juice
· 2 parts agave nectar
· Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
· Yellow chili pepper for garnish (optional)

Add all ingredients to an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain over ice into glass. Garnish with fresh basil and slices of yellow chili pepper (optional). Enjoy!

Sugar Skull Margarita

· 1 ½ parts Sauza® Signature Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
· 1 ½ parts frozen limeade
· 3 parts fruit punch soda
· Dragon fruit slice for garnish (optional)
Combine tequila, limeade, and fruit punch soda in a cocktail shaker. Shake well. Garnish with a dragon fruit slice (optional). Enjoy!

· 1 ½ parts Sauza® Signature Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
· 1 part lime juice
· ½ parts DeKuyper® Triple Sec Liqueur
· ½ parts simple syrup
· Lime wheel for garnish (optional)
· Salt for the rim (optional)

Add ingredients to an ice-filled shaker. Shake and strain over ice into a margarita glass. Garnish the glass with a lime wheel and salt on the rim (optional). Enjoy!
