Hot & Spicy Cocktails for Valentine’s Day!

So we kind of broke from the sweet/pink routine a little bit for Valentine’s Day and we went hot and spiced/spicy!

Check out the below cocktails to stay tipsy over Valentine’s Day weekend!

1 ½ parts CRUZ Tequila
1 part fresh lime juice
¾ parts Cointreau
¼ part jalapeno syrup*
3 dashes Sriracha
Lime wedge for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, shake and strain in to a rocks glass over ice, garnish with lime wedge and fire salt rim.

*Jalapeno syrup
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 jalapeno, cut lengthwise, seeds removed (2 for the daring!)

Over medium heat, combine sugar and water until sugar dissolves and begins to thicken. Add jalapeno and let is at least one hour (overnight for maximum flavor), strain through a mesh sieve and store in refrigerator.

3 parts Ménage à Trois Vodka
1 part spicy chipotle olive juice
½ part dry vermouth
3 chipotle olives

Add ice to a shaker, then Ménage à Trois Vodka and two dashes of vermouth and olive juice. Shake, and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with olives for the perfect Ménage à Trois Martini.

1 ½ parts Sugar Island Spiced Rum
½ part Allspice dram
½ part Scotch
½ part fresh lemon juice
½ part simple syrup

Stir until completely mixed pour into rocks glass and garnish with clove and lemon wheel.

1 ¾ parts Maker’s Mark Bourbon
¾ part lime juice
½ part Gifford Orgeat Syrup
½ part fresh lemon juice
¼ part St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
2 dashes Angostura Bitters

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass or over ice. Garnish with a lime and cherry flag.

PLUS – A FEW SUPER-SWEET CREATIONS FOR GOOD MEASURE:

1 ½ parts Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila
½ part Crème de Mure (blackberry liqueur)
½ part fresh-squeezed lime juice
½ part hibiscus tea
¼ part parts Tres Agaves Cocktail-Ready Agave Nectar

Shake all ingredients and double strain into a stemmed glass of your choice. Garnish with a lime wheel or hibiscus flower.

CRUZ Choco-Taco-Tini

2 parts Sugar Island Coconut Rum
3 parts Choco-vine, Chocolate Wine

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a martini glass, garnish with chocolate sauce.
