Los Angeles – Last night, W Magazine and Condé Nast celebrated the opening night exhibition preview of Shooting Stars, an exhibit curated by Stefano Tonchi encompassing archival narrative fashion stories and transformative portraiture from the pages of W shot by celebrated photographers Bill Viola, Barbara Kruger, David Fincher, Francesco Vezzoli, George Condo, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Juergen Teller, Mario Sorrenti, Mert & Marcus, Michael Thompson, Steven Klein, Tim Walker and Urs Fischer.
Shooting Stars pays homage to the marriage between ART and FASHION, taking visitors on a visual journey to an alternative fantasy world through oversized prints and innovative video projection.
Celebrity subjects in the exhibition include Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton, Gwyneth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus, George Clooney, Jessica Chastain, Madonna, David and Victoria Beckham, Scarlett Johansson, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lawrence and many more.
Shooting Stars is open to the public starting today, Saturday, January 10th, until Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Wilshire May Company Building (6067 Wilshire Blvd, next to LACMA).
Guests included hosts Stefano Tonchi & Miley Cyrus, BOSS artistic director Jason Wu with Hugo Boss CEO Gerrit Ruetzel and DJ set by Dev Hynes.
