With the holiday season rapidly approaching, Kenny Chesney has just released a song that is a nod to his popular line of premium-blended rums, Blue Chair Bay Rum. The song is called “Christmas in Blue Chair Bay” and has lyrics like:
“Everybody raise a glass with me right now / To all of those up in the snow from all of us down South / Tis the season for believing and faith and family / I wish you were here with me.”
To celebrate the new song and raise a glass to Kenny, below are some seasonal cocktails to imbibe this November and December to get in the holiday spirit.
White Coconut Christmas
+ 1 ½ oz. Blue Chair Bay Coconut Rum
+ 1 ½ oz. Coconut Milk (or regular milk if coconut not available)
+ ½ oz. white crème de cacao
+ ½ oz. ginger liqueur
Shake ingredients very well with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass or over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
Christmas in Dixie
+ 1 ½ oz. Blue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum
+ 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
+ ¾ oz. apple cider
+ ½ oz cranberry juice
Shake very well with ice and strain over ice into rocks glass. Garnish with ground cinnamon.
+ 1 bottle Blue Chair Bay Coconut Spiced Rum
+ 8 oz. fresh lemon juice
+ 18 oz. pear nectar
+ 15 oz. ginger ale
Put it all in a pumpkin (optional) with some nice block ice and stir it up. Garnish with several sliced pears and cranberries. And use a straw if you’re wearing a mask. Serves 18-20.
