Laphroaig Single Malt Scotch Whisky is looking forward to celebrating National Scotch Day on July 27!

Scotch is a spirit with a long history. It was first written about in the 1400s, and was originally only distilled by monks until the 1500s. Today, Scotch is produced in five regions and is the top-selling spirit in a number of countries. It’s no surprise that Laphroaig’s history is just as rich: as an Islay scotch first produced in 1815, Laphroaig (which translates to “the beautiful hollow by the broad bay”) popularized Single Malt Scotch and pioneered the usage of American ex-bourbon casks during aging.

Laphroaig 10-Year-Old Scotch is the gold standard by which all other Islay malts are judged, as it is distilled the same way today as the first day it was crafted nearly 200 years ago. The Laphroaig Suntanned Scotsman cocktail keeps the classic flavor of Laphroaig 10-Year-Old alive, but makes for a sweet summertime drink with the additions of cranberry and pineapple juice.

Cheers!
