New York – After two weeks of star-studded attendees, the Moët & Chandon Suite certainly didn’t disappoint for the final match of the US Open, with celebrity guests – including actors Leonardo DiCaprio, Alexander Skarsgard, Wilmer Valderrama and Taye Diggs, actresses Jessica Alba and Amanda Seyfried, singer Joe Jonas, acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann, supermodel Karolina Kurkova and Princess Beatrice – all watching from the Moët Suite as Nadal and Djokovic fought for the title of US Open champion.
Jessica Alba loved the golden goblets of Moët, appearing in the suite multiple times for refills and asking for two golden goblets of Moët at a time. “We’re playing a little ‘drinking game’ outside,” she laughed, before returning to her seats. She then turned around and asked Alexander Skarsgard, who was sitting right behind her, if he wouldn’t mind snapping a photo of her and her friends, which he did happily as the group toasted with their goblets.
Amanda Seyfried celebrated in the Moët Suite with her purported boyfriend, Justin Long, who had to leave at the end of the third set, when it began to look like a lock for Rafa to win the title. Amanda saw him off while refilling her glass of Moët ultimately giving short shrift to his departure as she rushed back to finish the match. “He can fend for himself!” she said with a wink to onlookers.
Karolina Kurkova – who watched the tennis in the Moët Suite over the weekend with supermodel Kate Upton – made a return appearance, opting for the final match of the US Open over her hectic Fashion Week demands. When the match pushed into a fourth set, Karolina said, “I guess I won’t be making it any of my Fashion Week events tonight!” staying permanently affixed to the game, but rushing up to greet director Baz Luhrmann when he arrived. Karolina began to gush about her recent travels to Australia, with Baz of course all ears as the beauty discussed her affinity for the Gold Coast and Sydney. Randy Jackson joined the party in the Moët Suite, as well, joking, “Karolina and I used to model together!”
Leonardo Dicaprio entered the Moët Suite just as it was really picking up on the court, making a B-line straight for Baz, with the Gatsby pair reuniting with a hug – but while Baz may have gotten first priority, it was all smooches for Toni, who affectionately greeted her beau. Earlier in the evening, Leo caused a stir in a packed elevator on his way up to the suites, squeezing in just as the doors were closing. All elevator guests fell silent, stunned that Leo was there, until one patron was overheard saying, “Wait, who is that guy?” – to which the entire elevator laughingly said, “It’s Leo!” Leo acknowledged that it was him, jokingly raising his hand and saying, “Yes, it’s Leo.”
Before the matches kicked off, Martha Stewart arrived outside the stadium in complete tourist mode, taking her own photos of the stadium the minute she exited the car, while fashion royalty – including Ralph and Ricky Lauren, followed closely behind by David and Lauren Bush Lauren – made their way inside. And, the biggest tennis fan in the fashion world, Anna Wintour, caused a buzz running in heels through the parking lot and disappearing behind security, rushing to make the start of the matches.
