SBE Launches Newest Addition to the LA Nightlife Scene with Emerson Theatre
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (January 2013) – sbe nightlife group is welcoming the new year with the latest chapter in its nightlife collection, The Emerson Theatre, a nightclub/lounge concept that channels the vintage glamour of a 1920’s, with a contemporary twist. Torn from pages of Hollywood’s artfully scandalous era of prohibition, The Emerson Theatre will be a haven for club-goers and loungers alike.
Costas Charalambous, Senior Vice President sbe Nightlife Group, and Remington Moses, Director of Marketing and Entertainment for The Emerson Theatre, are spearheading the venture, which will be a distinct departure from the other venues in the sbe portfolio.
“Emerson represents a celebration of a bygone Hollywood era of nightlife throughout every layer of the experience,” said Moses. “From the design to the programming and the guest services, Emerson channels the past with evocative and contemporary touches throughout. Our clientele expects the very best and an experience that’s fresh and provocative, and we’re delivering that through The Emerson Theatre.”
The space, visualized by premiere designer Mark Zeff, conjures the raw decadence of a speakeasy, seductively infused with contemporary burlesque. Upon entrance, guests are met with an assemblage of marquee lights that create an intoxicating ambience throughout the venue. Grand staircases flanked by towering velvet curtains beckon revelers into the heart of the Theatre, where a combination of walnut, brass, granite and distressed hardwoods gracefully balances the vintage aesthetic.
Two expansive bars frame the Theatre’s collection of booths and banquettes, allowing guests to easily view multiple stages that showcase a troop of burlesque dancers. Crowning the Theatre is a state-of-the-art DJ booth composed of brushed metal and mirrored glass that is elevated above the dance floor. With such premium sound technology in place, the Theatre will feature an impressive roster of live musical artists and renowned DJs (to be announced).
Renowned mixologists will create artisan cocktails made with the finest ingredients and tableside mixology and premium VIP bottle service will also be available to guests. Private events can be catered by sbe’s restaurant portfolio including Katsuya by Starck, Cleo, Mercato di Vetro and The Bazaar by José Andrés.
Celebrating its Grand Opening January 2013, The Emerson Theatre is located at Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea and will operate from 9:30 PM to 2 AM on Wednesdays and Fridays.
