Los Angeles – On Tuesday night, British sensation and stars of the new E! reality series, Chasing The Saturdays, performed for a sold out audience at the iconic music venue, The Roxy. The Saturdays are arguably the biggest British female group in recent memory, releasing a string of chart-topping hits and taking up permanent residence in UK media, thanks to their high-profile personal lives, influential fashion sense and strong, engaging personalities. To date, the talented young women have had eleven Top 10 singles in the UK, three Top 10 UK albums and just completed their first Arena tour. Now, the fab five are invading the States. The girls performed a full set including their highly-anticipated first American single “What About Us.” Noticeably absent from the group last night was Frankie Sandford who was back in the UK tending to a family emergency. The girls were disappointed she wasn’t able to perform but, they all agreed that “the show must go on.” They performed crowd favorites such as, “Chasing Lights,” “One Shot,” “All Fired Up,” “Notorious,” “30 Days,” “Issues,” and “Forever is Over” as the crowd sang along.
Chasing The Saturdays premieres at 10 p.m. Jan. 20th only on E!. Each 30-minute episode will showcase the music, laughs, drama, glamour and fun of the five young women as they navigate their way through the U.S. star-making machinery. From signing with renowned music label Mercury Records for their debut US album, promoting their latest single (“What About Us,”) to settling into a new and vibrant city, and dealing with husbands and lovers back in the UK, The Saturdays handle it all with spirit, humor and their infectious personalities.
