In just a few days, all of the biggest food stars and personalities will be in New York City for the annual New York City Wine & Food Festival where the public will mix, mingle, eat, and drink with the best of the best. If you can’t make it to the special events this year, below are several cocktails that foodie celebrities such as: Mario Batali, Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay will be toasting to that you can make at home to throw your own party! If you miss Sandra Lee and GODIVA’s Five Year Anniversary of SWEET!, create your own ZEDini:
1 oz. mango juice or mango puree
3 oz. ZED Sparkling Moscato Rosé
Pour juice or puree into a champagne flute. Slowly add ZED. Sip and sigh.
To feel as if you are at Giada’s Meatball Madness party whip up some Avion & San Pellegrino Blood Orange for a refresher:
2 parts Avión Silver
3 parts San Pellegrino Blood Orange
Combine all ingredients over ice and stir.
For Taco’s & Tequila:
Avión Autumn Apple
1.5 parts Avión Reposado
1 part fresh pressed apple juice
1 part lemon juice
1/5 part agave nectar
Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Shake vigorously. Fine strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
2 parts Avión Silver or Reposado
1 part fresh lime juice
1/2 part agave nectar
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Strain vigorously. Fine strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.
And for the final Grand Tasting event a few light cocktails:
1 part ABSOLUT Vodka
3 parts pink grapefruit juice
Build over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime or grapefruit wedge.
ABSOLUT MANDRIN PUNCH (Single Serve version)
2 parts ABSOLUT MANDRIN
1.5 parts pineapple juice
2 parts cranberry juice
2 parts ginger ale
Garnish lemon & lime wheel
Build over ice in a Collins glass and stir. Garnish with a lemon and lime wheel. To make a batch, add all ingredients to a punch bowl and stir well.
2 parts ABSOLUT CITRON
1/2 lime, quartered
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
Build over ice in a Collins glass and stir.
