Utilizing prints from his Spring/Summer 2013 Ready-To-Wear collection on his designs for PROPER ATTIRE, Christian brings fashion from the runway to the bedroom.
Known for his signature fresh feminine design aesthetic, Christian Siriano’s designs for PROPER ATTIRE® evoke feelings of light, softness, and romance. Echoing his Spring/Summer 2013 collection, inspired by the whimsical movement of the ballet, Christian includes elegant ballerina silhouettes in the “Sheer” packaging design. At 26 years old, Christian is quickly building both a luxury brand and a name for himself in the fashion community. The 2009 release of Christian’s book Fierce Style: How to Be Your Most Fabulous Self, saw him embark on a national book tour which culminated in an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. He is Payless’ top-selling design collaborator ever and in March 2010, was tapped to be on Crain’s New York “40 Under 40” – the youngest ever to appear on the prestigious list. He co-founded accessories e-commerce retailer Send the Trend and served as chief curator until 2011. Christian also created a makeup line for Victoria’s Secret and has embarked on design partnerships with LG, Starbucks, Puma and Spiegel.
In addition to formal training at the Baltimore School of the Arts, Christian studied fashion in London, where he studied under design legends Vivienne Westwood and the late Alexander McQueen. Celebrity clients range from Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker, Shailene Woodley, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, to Taylor Swift. He just recently opened his very own unique retail store in the Nolita neighborhood of NYC, where all of his designs are created and manufactured. He will show his 9th Ready to Wear collection at New York Fashion Week in September 2012.
Christian Siriano joins the likes of designers Isaac Mizrahi, Mara Hoffman, Rebecca Minkoff, Vena Cava, Charlotte Ronson, Alexander Wang, Brian Reyes, Jeremy Scott, and Yigal Azrouël, who have all collaborated on collections for the condom brand. PROPER ATTIRE® has also collaborated for the past few years with the Keith Haring Foundation to feature his artwork in honor of World Aids Day.
