Following a successful Street Food Social Hour on Cinco de Mayo, Red O will officially introduce a reoccurring Social Hour beginning May 23, 2012, with food and drink specials from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Available in the restaurant’s stunning tequila lounge and beautiful outdoor patio, the menu showcases a selection of dishes from Chef Rick Bayless’ California-inspired Mexican menu, including Oysters ($2 each) with Tomatillo-Habanero Mioneta, Smoky Chipotle-Garlic Salsa, and Fresh-Cut Limes; Classic Guacamole ($6) freshly made with Sundried Tomato and Onion and served with warm chips and salsa; the Street Food Trio ($12) with Smoked Chicken Taquitos, Mexico City-Style Corn Masa Quesadillas, and Plantain Sopes; Tostada Trio ($12), with sashimi-style Alaskan Salmon Tostada, Heirloom Tomato Escabeche, and grilled Mazatlan Blue Shrimp and Jicama “Taco”; and more.
Red O will also serve a variety of specialty margaritas and cocktails for $8, such as the Topolo Margarita and the Alacran Margarita, as well as a selection of wines for $7 and craft beers for $5. For those who would like to continue the festivities of the Social Hour into the night, the restaurant’s dinner service begins at 6 p.m., featuring the restaurant’s new Mexican raw bar and ceviche menu.
