Hermosa Beach – On Monday night, Tipsy Diaries headed over to Zane’s Restaurant in Hermosa Beach for a delectable tasting of food, cocktails, and dessert! The company we kept was just as good with Marsh Mokhtari (host of the Food Network’s ‘Extreme Chef’), Mary Hall (The Recessionista), Diane Wagner (DeathBedFood), Kristin Rohan (SassySEO.com), Susan Irby (The Bikini Chef), and many more!
We started off the evening the best way we know how; with a cocktail of course. The fruity and not too too sweet Guavatini was delish! It wet our palattes just in time for a taste of the Fried Calamari and Ahi Tartar (one of our favorites).
Next up – More cocktails! They knew how to keep us satisfied! This time we tried the Blood Orange Martini. This was a refreshing break from the traditional martinis that are so often served. Cheers!
After the first two cocktails, we started getting a little tipsy. Don’t judge. We took a break from the alcohol and started on the Pesto Shrimp and Cioppino. Mmm Mmm Mmm! The Cioppino was another favorite of ours! The fresh seafood and tomato broth, in addition to the focaccia bread was purely delicious! Next up – the Chilean Sea Bass. It simply melted in our mouth. More please!
We ended the night with another cocktail and dessert! The Nightcap, a peppermint liquor hot chocolate, with whipped cream and a candy cane put us right in the holiday spirit! The perfect supplements to this festive cocktail? – Tiramisu and Cinnamon Sugared Churros (if I were by myself, I would’ve eaten all five!).
The cocktails + the appetizers + the main dishes + the dessert = a satisfied evening of good food and good company!
