A daytime rooftop oasis to kick-off Comic-Con? Sounds good to me! Speciality cocktails, WIRED WiFi & charging stations, the latest in gadgets & gaming, and new releases in the arts & entertainment were in abundance, as the party went on all day.

On July 21, 2011, VIPs including Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Justin Timberlake, and Amanda Seyfried kicked off Comic-Con at the WIRED Cafe, at the Omni Hotel rooftop in San Diego. Guests enjoyed food and drinks, stopping by the re-creation of Fangtasia from HBO’s “True Blood“, for show-inspired cocktails. “True Blood” was everywhere as guests got glammed up with “True Blood” makeovers as well.

If you were a VIP (don’t we wish), you were given the chance to customize your iPhone with laser-engraved covers from JackBacks and Epilog Laser.

After knocking back a few “True Blood” inspired cocktails, people flocked to experience the yet-to-be-released Just Dance 3 game from Ubisoft.

To remember all of the excitement, guests got the opportunity to take pictures with the Imperial Twins from the new Cirque du Soleil show KA.
