When thinking of the Four Seasons, what comes to mind is one of the top luxury hotel brands in the world. Now add that to a location in one of the most sophisticated, glamorous, and trend-setting destinations in the world, and you’ve got yourself a pretty good deal (If you don’t believe me, just check out the women on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. If that doesn’t scream sophistication, then I don’t know what does..hmmm). Every year this trendy spot is also host to a numerous amount of Golden Globe parties and red carpet events put on by the top names in the entertainment industry.
Anyways, where was I?…In addition to the top notch hotel rooms and fine dining that this establishment has to offer, the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills also provides an elegant atmosphere in which to drink. The Window’s Lounge offers a bevy of wine and specialty martinis that are sure to leave you satisfied.
The drinks aside for a tick, I’m dropping props to the music that kept us at it all night. A lil’ Estefan, a lil’ Vandross, sprinkled with some Bon Jovi. Though you might want to kick those heels off and start dancing, don’t. That’s a totally different animal. From Thursday to Sunday nights, drinkers can experience live music from a variety of talented artists. Live is better. Enough said…excluding Britney…ooo cheap shot!
Now bring on the drinks. One of the first specialty drinks to really stand out was the ‘Antioxidantini.’ Consisting of VeeV acai spirit, stoli blueberi, muddled blueberries, 7Up, and topped with a strawberry, I’d like to think that I’m getting my days worth of antioxidants, which I very well may be…maybe.
As many may not know, VeeV is the world’s first acai spirit. What makes this drink so special is that acai is the exotic tasting Brazilian national fruit and is considered the world’s preeminent superfruit. With 57% more antioxidants than pomegranates or blueberries and 30 times more heart-healthy anthocyanins than red wine, it’s amazing that someone thought of the idea to create a spirit out of this. Smart if you ask me. After reading this, throw out your morning glass of OJ and replace it with an Antioxidantini.
Another martini that is just as delicious is the ‘Strawberry Breeze.’ This drinks consists of Belvedere orange (with a capital B), fresh lemonade, muddled strawberries, champagne, topped with a strawberry. Not too sweet and not too sour, this cocktail hit the spot as I was on my 3rd round of mixed nuts that the lounge has to offer.
After knocking back a few more of their specialty cocktails, either head upstairs to your lavish hotel room or call the cabs to take you back to reality. If only everyday life could be so elegant…about 17,000 more posts, just maybe…maybe.
